Ms. Albina Yakubova works for the OSCE Secretariat’s Transnational Treats Department Border Security and Management Unit.  She is responsible for the planning, development, promotion and implementation of OSCE border programmes, projects, training courses, workshops and other activities.  Among the projects that she developed and implemented are multi-year initiatives on the OSCE Mobile Training Team on the identification of Foreign Terrorist Fighters at the borders (FTFs), Promotion of Delimitation and Demarcation Practices and the OSCE engagement with the Mediterranean Partners for Co-operation.

Previously for over 15 years Ms. Yakubova worked as a Drug Control Officer and Terrorism Prevention Expert with UNODC and OSCE on regional and global levels.  Expertise on international legal instruments, border security and management, project management, transferring expert knowledge and best practices, professional communication on all levels, workshop organization/coordination stand out among her skills and know-how.

She is a holder of LL.M in Criminal Law from the Tashkent State Institute of Law and a Master in EU Studies obtained at the European Online Academy of the Centre international de formation européenne (CIFE).
