A large amount of drugs was seized in the port of Zeebrugge. During a customs check, 183 kg of cocaine was discovered in a hidden compartment under the floor plate of a truck from Lithuania that was transporting 29 pallets of tomato sauce.
The 30-year-old driver was arrested and placed under an arrest warrant for drug trafficking and participation in an association.
The Federal Judicial Police of West Flanders is continuing the investigation under the direction of the investigating judge in Bruges.
