Mrs. Kemi Nanna Nandap who hails from Abeokuta Ogun state, was born on 3rd June, 1966 in Zaria, Kaduna state. She attended Corona Primary school, Jos and St. John’s College, Jos before proceeding to the University of Ilorin where she bagged a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.
She holds a Master of Science in International Relations and Strategic Studies from the University of Jos; Master in Business Administration from the University of Abuja; Certificate in Entrepreneurial Development from the Lagos Business School (LBS); Certificate in Leadership and Succession Planning from the Centre for Management Development (CMD). She is also a Member of MyProject Institute of Strategic Studies (MMIS); Fellow, Chartered Institute of Public and Diplomacy Management; Fellow, Chartered Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria; Fellow, African Business School.
In 1989, she joined the Nigeria Immigration Service as Assistant Superintendent of Immigration and completed her Basic Course at the Immigration Training School, Kano with distinction. Her work life in the NIS has seen her serve in different capacities from various formations such as: O/C Investigation & Compliance, O/C- ECOWAS & African Affairs across Nassarawa, Lagos, Ogun, Anambra States, the FCT Command and Service Headquarters, Abuja.
In 2016, she was nominated for training at the Immigration Command and Staff College (ICSC) Sokoto where she was awarded the Pass Command Course (pcc) and a certificate of commendation as the best student in academics.
KN Nandap was promoted to the rank of Comptroller of Immigration and posted to the Immigration Service Headquarters as Comptroller Training and Staff Development and thereafter, Comptroller in charge of Plateau State Command, which witnessed giant strides in infrastructural and human capital development under her watch. In January 2022, she was deployed to Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos where her numerous interventions helped to bring sanity to the Airport operations and immigration clearance procedure at the Airport until her promotion to the rank of Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration Service (ACGIS), taking charge of CERPAC (Residence Permit) Division and subsequently, Zone ‘F’ Command, Ibadan. She was thereafter deployed as ACG in charge of Directorate of Migration, SHQ, Abuja.
In December, 2023, KN Nandap was deployed to head the Passport Directorate where she assiduously anchored the recent e-Passport Reforms until her appointment as Comptroller General of Immigration Service, effective 1st March, 2024. She is also currently the Chairperson of ECOWAS Heads of Immigration Forum.
KN Nandap, has through unwavering commitment shown impactful leadership, great management of human and material resources, with good grasp and in-depth knowledge of Immigration Policies and Procedures. She is married and blessed with children. Her hobbies include: Golfing, Reading, Travelling, Badminton, and Keeping Fit.
