A network in Colombia that recruited victims and transported them to Spain for labour exploitation has been dismantled

They sought out people in situations of particular economic or social vulnerability, to whom they offered false promises of employment and improved living conditions in Spain.

They managed the transfer of the victims, generating an economic debt that was later used as a mechanism of control and coercion.

The operation was carried out jointly by the Civil Guard, the National Police and the National Police of Colombia

In the final phase of the operation, three people have been arrested in Tarragona and four in Colombia. In total, Operation Aguazul-Napoleón, launched in 2023, has resulted in 30 arrests and 57 potential victims located.
