Katalin Mausolf-Pokornyi currently works at the European Border and Coast Guard Agency – Frontex, within the Transition Sector of the Capabilities Directorate. In this role, she contributes to analysing operational requirements, and developing capability concepts that balance needs, costs, and benefits. She is also engaged in harmonising and standardising processes, managing the portfolio of capabilities, and overseeing the transition of developments into operational use from Initial Operating Capability to Full Operational Capability. Among her projects, she plays a key role in building up the canine capabilities at Frontex. Katalin brings to this work over 20 years of law enforcement experience in the Hungarian Border Police/Police, complemented by international assignments with CEPOL and UNDP, where she gained expertise in cross-border cooperation and capacity development.
