Samir Krasniqi is currently holding the position of the Coordinator of the National Center for Border Management (NCBM) at Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republic of Kosovo, being delegated at this position from Kosovo Customs since 01.01.2014. He has more than 30 years of experience in different public and law enforcement sectors, first working as an English teacher for 6 years, than as a trainer in Police Academy for three and half years and 21 years working within Kosovo Customs, holding different positions within this law enforcement agency. As a Coordinator of the NCBM, he closely cooperate and coordinate activities with fellow law enforcement authorities and manage a staff of nearly 20 operators and 5 analysts as part of the overall process of monitoring and overseeing procedures of the border surveillance from conception to implementation carried out 24/7 within NCBM.

    Identity Verification is self-evidently the key to effective border management. For all border agencies, verify each person’s identity against government databases determines whether an individual is welcome into a country or not. Morphed photo: Use of a morphed image in a genuine document, allowing two individuals to share the same passport. Counterfeit: The complete fake reproduction of a genuine document made with non-genuine materials or using parts of genuine documents. How do we accurately verify documents using the tools available such as biometrics and digital signatures, encryption and watermarking.
