Enkhtur Adiyajav is the current head of the Passenger Information Unit (PIU) of Mongolia, a position he has held since 2023. The PIU is a pioneering platform in Mongolia that brings together multi-agency officers under one roof to enhance border security and information management. Prior to this role, Mr. Enkhtur served in various capacities at the General Authority for Border Protection for 28 years, gaining extensive experience in national security and border management.
As the chief of the PIU, Mr. Enkhtur is responsible for the unified management of the Unit’s activities. His duties include ensuring administrative and professional leadership, overseeing employee performance, and maintaining the confidentiality of passenger data provided by air carriers. He also plays a critical role in supervising the processing of data and information, contributing to Mongolia’s efforts to enhance border security and passenger safety.

Identity Management
Identity Verification is self-evidently the key to effective border management. For all border agencies, verify each person’s identity against government databases determines whether an individual is welcome into a country or not. Morphed photo: Use of a morphed image in a genuine document, allowing two individuals to share the same passport. Counterfeit: The complete fake reproduction of a genuine document made with non-genuine materials or using parts of genuine documents. How do we accurately verify documents using the tools available such as biometrics and digital signatures, encryption and watermarking.
