James Garcia is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer and Program Manager for the Office of Field Operations/National Targeting Center (OFO/NTC). Mr. Garcia has over 16 years years of combined experience and service with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and its predecessor, the U.S. Customs Service in South Florida and the National Targeting Center (Targeter and Intelligence Analyst). Mr. Garcia currently serves as an Assistant Director of the Global Targeting Advisory Division and is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in passenger and cargo targeting and enforcement, as well as analysis and risk-based targeting applications.
Prior to Mr. Garcia’s career in Government, he spent 15 years in the supply chain logistics and international transportation industry where he served as a licensed U.S. Customs broker, serving in various management capacities in Federal Express Corp. and other multinational corporations. Mr. Garcia studied Business at Florida International University in Miami, Florida and holds bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Marketing and A.A. in Business Administration.
