James Pigg is a Chief Inspector in the Metropolitan Police, and is the national lead for policy and strategy for Counter Terrorism Police Border Operations in the UK.
In a 20 year career he has spent seven years working in Counter Terrorism, first conducting operations at Heathrow Airport before moving to his present role. He is a subject matter expert in the use of Terrorism powers at the border under Schedule 7 of the terrorism act
James is in the last year of his MSc studies in Countering Organised Crime and Terrorism at University College London, and will be researching the effectiveness of specialist training for officers in CT protective security for his dissertation, including elements of behavioural detection.
